StackJack 0.1.0.6216+b19f3e5

This release improves how spreadsheet knowledge files are read by agents, fixes a crash in the connector configuration form, and lightens the per-request work done when MCP clients authenticate with an API key.

Improvements

  • Spreadsheet (.xlsx) files uploaded as agent knowledge now keep their table structure. Each worksheet appears under its own heading, in the order the sheets appear in the workbook, with one line per row and tab-separated fields. Blank cells stay in place as empty fields, so a gap in a row no longer shifts the following values into the wrong column. Previously the whole workbook collapsed onto a single line with empty cells dropped, which could lead an agent to read a value from the wrong column.

Optimizations

  • Authenticating an MCP client with an API key now reads only the small, frequently needed fields on every request, and refreshes the larger settings (such as the allowed-tools list and connection pins) at most once a minute. As a result, edits to a client's allowed-tools list or connection pins may take up to 60 seconds to take effect. Revoking a client, deactivating it, or rotating its secret continues to take effect immediately.

Bug fixes

  • Clearing certain text fields in the connector configuration form (for example a custom subdomain or an API key box) and then saving could crash the page instead of showing a validation message. These cases now show the normal "field required" style warning.
  • A spreadsheet knowledge file that is too large to extract completely is now rejected with a clear error instead of being accepted with part of its content silently missing. Ordinary workbooks, including multi-sheet workbooks with stray formatted columns, are not affected by this limit.
  • A workbook whose sheets contain no cell text is still treated as an empty knowledge file and rejected, rather than being accepted with only sheet names as content.
